I also wanted something a little more representative of the actual style of our home. I don’t know very many people (personally) who have as many black walls in their home as we do, so I wanted black to be a more prominent color on the site. White and gray are our foundation, prominent sparks of persimmon/coral and eventually we’ll work in some teal and shots of yellow.
[pullquote]”Don’t be mad ’cause it’s all about progression, loiterers should be arrested.” -Shawn Carter[/pullquote] One of the major changes is that this will officially serve as my personal/style/decor blog and Yong will only come in to guest edit whenever he has the time. You’ve probably noticed he hasn’t posted in a while anyway. That is because he’s been a busy bee over at his new endeavor, RomeroBrooks. It’s like CNN, only deader. It should be your go-to website for information on most things zombie-related. Including how to prepare for the Zombie Apocalypse. Seriously people, even the CDC is warning you. The basic premise being if you’re prepared for a Zombie Apocalypse, you’re prepared for any natural disaster. As you may have noticed, we haven’t exactly been short on those lately. Yong has, also, been a great inspiration for stepping my game up when it comes to blogging. That man’s dedication to pumping out at least three read-worthy posts everyday (including weekends!) is nothing short of amazing to me.
Another part of this transition means, I’ll be letting go of Spy on Pea and merging it with this blog. I think most posts will still revolve around the progression of the home with a few style posts mixed in. Seeing as I’m much more comfortable with my opinions on home decor vs fashion/style. I’m also much more comfortable behind the camera.
With all that being said, I’m a creature of habit.. and I have a habit of craving constant change. Hopefully I can find a combination of visuals/posting style that I can live with for the long haul.
Here’s to a new chapter! :)

Nice.
I had no idea you had another blog. I like it, can’t wait to see it incorporated here!
A lot of people don’t lol. That’s part of why I felt this was necessary. I’d rather dedicate my time to this blog than keep spreading myself too thin. :)
I’ll miss spyonpea *sigh. Nice layout change, doing the comments like your chalk wall could be kinna cool.
