i think it’s essential that anyone self respecting person who has access to a patio/backyard should invest in a grill. no, this is not a manlaw, but some foods just taste better grilled than otherwise. salmon, steaks, etc etc.
p and i have gone through our “house spending” list and even though a grill was near the bottom, as soon as it started warming up we jumped on buying one.
for you grill purists out there, yes we did make a blasphemous purchase in buying a gas powered brinkmann. there are some uneven hot spots on the grill, but for the most part it’s decent and serves its purpose for now.
we haven’t christened it with the almighty corean bbq yet, but when we do, we will post pics and MAYBE a family recipe.
ps – i HIGHLY recommend people giving juicy lucy’s a shot.
some ground beef, minced garlic, minced onions, lawrys, black pepper and worcester mixed into 2 ground beef patties (80/20 lean to fat ratio). put a slice of american cheese in between the two patties and crimp the edges. smash the patties down as thin as possible without exposing the cheese. then re-crimp the edges, and either grill or pan fry the monster patty until done. you’ll have to see how well it cooks through trial and error, but the end result is priceless.
retro out!
